The Cash Box Kings are bona fide blues royalty. Co-led by real-deal Chicago blues vocalist and songwriter Oscar Wilson and Madison, Wisconsin-based songwriter, harmonica giant and singer Joe Nosek, the band plays masterfully raw and unvarnished houserocking blues.
In Chicago, a city overflowing with unrivaled blues talent, world-renowned Lil’ Ed & The Blues Imperials have been standing tall for over 30 years –an extraordinary feat for any group. The band’s big sound, fueled by Lil’ Ed’s gloriously rollicking slide work and deep blues string bending, along with his rough-edged, soulful vocals, is as real and hard-hitting as Chicago blues gets.

Sugar Lime Blue is capturing listeners with its grooving style of blues infused rock. Drawing from an ever expanding list of original material and far reaching covers, SLB will keep listeners on their toes waiting to hear what is next and how it is going to be played. Pulling from staple R&B artist like Otis Redding, Al Green and Bill Withers, classic jam style bands like Little Feat and the Grateful Dead, and current day rockers like Sheryl Crow, and the Black Crowes, Sugar Lime Blue pulls off a retro type of vibe with a sound that you probably won't be able to compare immediately to any one artist. Not falling into the same old ruts that many bands fall into, is something that has driven Sugar Lime Blue since their begining in 2006. Always exploring on stage, as they wind through an impressive list of covers and originals, its not always the same expected fare that Sugar Lime Blue(SLB) serves up. Yes, you will here plenty of respected artists in their choice of covers, but don't expect a top 40 show. What listeners get is a healthy dose of original interpetations, musical jams, and noteworthy songs that keeps the listener engaged.
