Grab your bike helmets, the Valparaiso BikeShare program is back!! Join us downtown at Central Park Plaza on Friday, April 22nd at 4:30pm for the official re-launch ribbon cutting and a first look at these awesome stations!

The City of Valparaiso has partnered with Tandem Mobility to re-launch its bikeshare program that provides all Valparaiso residents and visitors with a convenient, affordable and healthy way to get around town! Valparaiso BikeShare, which includes 36 bikes, will be available at 11 stations around the city for members to use for on-demand, local trips.

Special thank you to our BikeShare sponsors Urschel Laboratories and HealthLinc who have made this re-launch a reality! In addition, the bikes have been tuned up thanks to Leo’s Bike Shop to provide a comfortable ride and easy handling.

To access the bikes, riders will need to download the Movatic app in the App Store or Google Play. Scanning the bike’s QR Code in the app unlocks the ring lock on the wheel, allowing a rider to get rolling in seconds. After the rider returns the bike to a designated bike station, the rental ends and the bike is available for the next person to enjoy.

Bike rental costs are $1.50 per 30 minutes to rent with a cap of $24 for up to a 24-hour period. A $30 annual fee includes unlimited rides under one hour, with additional hours being charged at $1.50 per half-hour to a maximum of $24 for up to a 24-hour period.
