Join Valpo Parks for a fun-filled weekend of all things bicycling at Creekside Trails!  The Valpo Bike Fest is focused on bringing enthusiasts, competitors, casual participants, and spectators together to share in the mental, physical, and social benefits of bicycling, food, drinks and music will be featured all weekend long. Most activities will be located at Trailyard (2551 Clifford Rd.).

Patrons may shop vendor booths of gently used infant, toddler and children apparel, toys, furniture, and more!  Cash only for admission.  Individual vendors will accept cash, and some may accept electronic payment.  We encourage bringing a shopping bag for your purchases.

Join us for our 2nd year at Rogers Lakewood for a day full of Halloween-themed, family fun.  After the 2K walk/run and the Dog Walk, families can enjoy hayrides, s'mores by the fire, music, food, crafts, and more!

The Creekside Trails Bike Fest is a Celebration of Trails hosted at Creekside Trails on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Friday evening will be a family fun trail ride followed by a bonfire and s'mores for the kids. On Saturday will be the Creekside MTB Championships which includes a 20k XC & E-Bike race, 5k Kids Race and a 10k Fat Tire Bike race. On Sunday will be an 8k trail run to cap off the weekend. Food, drinks and music will be featured all weekend long. All activities will be located at Trailyard (2551 Clifford Rd.).

Light up Valparaiso streets and cycle through the city by starlight at the annual family friendly Valpo Night Ride! This 10-mile ride features a route that both begins and ends at Central Park Plaza, Downtown Valparaiso.

The Friends of Fishing Club and Valpo Parks once again team up to host the 12th annual Take-A-Kid Fishing derby. This event is completely free for the entire family. This is an Indiana DNR free fishing day so adults may fish without a license.  Only kids (16 and under) can compete in the derby for prizes. Prizes and trophies will be awarded 1st through 10th place for panfish and biggest walleye, bass, and catfish. This is a great opportunity to introduce kids to the wonderful sport of fishing. Loaner rods will be available at first come, first serve basis. Our gracious local bait shops will have donated bait available, if needed.

Group bike ride for all ages! Join other community bike enthusiasts on these FREE rides for all ages! Each ride will start at the listed Valpo park and travel the paved pathways around town.
