Join the 46th running of the Popcorn Panic. A community tradition for over four decades, this event has over 1,000 participants annually, running and walking through our tree-lined city streets. In teams or as individuals, you can choose to run the 5 miles or shorten it up with a 5K run or walk.
This year's C4C will support SALT's World Relief Campaign: "Sheltering Strength, Preserving Dignity: Empowering Women to Lead Successful Lives". This campaign is in support of Gabriel's Horn Women's Shelter in South Haven, IN. Gabriel’s Horn Homeless Shelter is dedicated to offering support and services to women facing homelessness within the Porter County area. Their mission focuses on providing a safe and supportive environment where individuals can access temporary housing, meals, and essential supportive services such as counseling, case management, and transportation. Gabriel's Horn helps to get women off their feet by helping them find housing, employment, healthcare, and childcare.

Halloween Fun Time at Rogers Lakewood Park!
What has traditionally been just a 2K/5K run will now be a day full of Halloween-themed, family fun at a new location - Rogers Lakewood Park. After the run families can enjoy hayrides, s'mores by the fire, music, food, crafts, and more! Returning this year, a dog friendly 3/4 mile course!
LPA Counseling is hosting a 5k Run/Walk and 10, 40, 60 and 100 mile bike rides to raise funds for Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment for those in Northwest Indiana that are in need and cannot afford the treatment.
We are addressing an important issue that affects many people. Our mission is to spread awareness and raise money. The annual U.S. suicide rate increased 30% between 2000 and 2020. SUICIDE is the 2nd leading cause of death amongst 15–34 year olds in Indiana. In 2020, 100,306 people died by overdose in the US. One major barrier to mental health and substance abuse treatment is cost/and or lack of insurance. Our solution is to fund that treatment. Profits from the StRides Against Suicide and Overdose 2022 will be used to provide scholarships for mental health and substance abuse treatment for clients who are uninsured or cannot afford treatment. Your involvement is critical to our success in reducing the devastating numbers of Suicides and Overdoses. Thank you again for your help.
