Unlock the boundless world of creativity and laughter in our LimeLights Live and Improv Theatre class! This engaging program is designed for young performers who aspire to write and perform their very own SNL-style sketches and master the art of improvisational comedy. Whether your child dreams of becoming the next comedy sensation or simply wants to enhance their communication skills, this class provides a platform for personal growth and artistic expression.
What to Expect:
1. Sketch Comedy Writing: Students will delve into the fundamentals of sketch comedy writing. They'll explore the principles of humor, comedic timing, and the structure of a sketch, and they'll have the opportunity to develop their unique comedic voice.
2. Character Development: Learn how to create memorable characters that bring sketches to life. From exaggerated personalities to relatable figures, students will explore various character archetypes and develop the skills to portray them effectively.
3. Improvisational Comedy: Unleash the power of spontaneity and quick thinking with a range of improv games and exercises.
Our Director of Education will be in contact prior to classes with an introductory email and mandatory parental consent and volunteer waivers that have to be filed out and brought to the first class. We can’t wait to see you all there!
Location: Rehearsals will start at the Boys and Girls Club but we will transfer classes to Memorial Opera House, which is also where we will be performing. A detailed schedule will be shared with your family.

Class Tuition: $75 (must already be a BGCA member)*
BGCA Annual Membership fee: $40 (all new members - payable separately to Boys & Girls Club)
*Boys & Girls Club Membership is required for enrollment. Memberships are valid for 1 full year. If you are not a current member, you will need to purchase a membership directly from the Boy & Girls Club of Greater Northwest Indiana for $40.00 before starting the class. Memorial Opera House is not responsible for providing Boys & Girls Club memberships.
