Join Friends of Fishing & Valpo Parks for the 13th annual Ice Fishing Derby! This is a family fun event, so everyone is welcome to come out and enjoy a day of ice fishing!
Same day registration begins at 5am at the Program Center. All fish must be measured by 12pm. No late entries please. Besides the fishing contest, there is a 50/50 raffle. Prizes awarded at 1pm to the longest measured fish in each category. Categories include Bass, Bluegill/Redear/Warmouth, Crappie, Walleye, Perch. Kids fish for prizes only.
All Indiana state fishing regulations apply.
The event will only take place if there is safe ice. Should there be any questions about the event, please contact the Parks Office or visit the Friends of Fishing Facebook group for updates.
Fee: $20 (16 and under free)
