For 22 years, South Shore Orchestra has been committed to bridging musicians, audiences and communities to advance the enjoyment and appreciation of orchestral music. SSO performs a vast array of repertoire including classical masterworks, contemporary, pops, world music, and numerous world premieres by local and international composers. SSO has also performed seven concert tours in over 40 cities throughout China, performing in esteemed venues such as the Beijing Concert Hall, Hangzhou Grand Theatre, and Ningbo Opera House among others. South Shore Orchestra's innovative music education programs have included student apprentice positions, family and children's concerts, instrument petting zoos, collegiate scholarships, youth orchestras, and after-school music and literacy programs. SSO was founded in 2004 by Maestro Troy Webdell, SSO President Pete Brannen, and SSO Principal Bass Don Parker.
