JUNE FEATURED ARTIST: ALYSHA MONIQUE
Alysha Monique is a Chicago-based vocalist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer with over twelve years of professional performance experience and a strong national presence. Since 2018, she has performed more than 100 shows annually, appearing across Chicago, the Midwest, and major U.S. cities including New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and New Orleans. Her recorded work includes Ella and Louis Reimagined, a contemporary interpretation of classic jazz repertoire, and 6776: An Alysha Monique Prelude, an original project that reflects her evolving artistic voice and production style. In addition to her solo work, she is a member of the vocal group HoneyNoir and an active collaborator, contributing as a featured vocalist and songwriter on multiple projects. Alysha is also a creative director and community builder. She produces and curates live events and is the creator and host of vocal sheds—collaborative spaces for singers to explore improvisation, harmony, and artistic expression—which she has led across multiple cities. Since 2014, she has worked as a voice educator in both private and institutional settings, teaching students from early childhood through the collegiate level. Her approach integrates the Androvox method, developed by Thomas Allen, alongside other contemporary techniques, with a focus on vocal health, technical clarity, and confident artistry.
