Chicago Street Theatre Presents
Kevin Campbell - The Paperback Writer
Date: Sunday, October 4, 2026
Time: 7:00pm
Location: Chicago Street Theatre
154 W Chicago St, Valparaiso, Indiana
Kevin Campbell is a Chicago-based multi-instrumentalist, singer, and a lifelong Beatles obsessive. The Paperback Writer is a unique twist on the beloved catalogue of John, Paul, George, and Ringo. Armed with an acoustic guitar, a piano, and his voice, Kevin performs beloved Beatles songs while sharing the stories, characters, and beautiful details behind them.
But this isn’t simply a collection of Beatles covers and stories that you could read in a book. Kevin has created his own arrangements of the songs, reimagining familiar melodies and harmonies in ways that keep even the most devoted Beatles fans on the edge of their seat.
The result is a performance that combines music, storytelling, and plenty of surprises. You may know every song by heart - including the B sides (of which, there are plenty) - but you never quite know what’s coming next.
Many of our concert goers have already seen Kevin in action as a member of The Brooklyn Charmers, a Steely Dan tribute band that appeared at Chicago Street and rocked the house a few seasons ago. Please join us for this very unique evening!
