An Evening of Dance and Adventure
Phil Bauman, Music Director/Conductor
Whether
it is patriotic tunes, classical fun or jazz favorites, people will want to dance
or clap to Saint-Saens' classic "Danse Bacchanale," "Jump Swing Fever," "Patriotic
Melodies That Stirred a Nation" or "The Story of Mumble Happy Feet." The music will
heat up with nightclub swing vocalist, Rick Barnes singing " Zoot Suit Riot" and
"It Had Better Be Tonight." For the classical aficionado, concertmaster Jonathan
Johnson will perform Mendelssohn's "Violin Concerto." Maestro Bauman's program would
not be complete without a few adventure-filled fantasies. To round out the event,
contemporary movie music includes: "Great Escape March" by Bernstein and "Pirates
