Celebrate the beginning of the holiday season in downtown Valparaiso!

Many of the festivities will move to the New Central Park Plaza this year. Live holiday music will be performed on the Porter Health Amphitheater Stage. Michiana Ice Carvers will prepare a Giant Ice Sculpture. The Holiday Village Market will feature special holiday vendors. Free rides on the holiday train will take guests on the streets around Central Park Plaza. Visit the Live Nativity that will host live animals too!

Don't miss the Holly and JJ Jolly Show in front of the Memorial Opera House and Porter County Museum as the prelude to Santa's arrival.

Listen to the sidewalk carolers and stroll through downtown to the stores and restaurants for treats and specials.

On August 6, 2011, the Summer Rhapsody Music Festival officially marked the Grand Opening of Central Park Plaza – the most recent addition to Valparaiso’s downtown streetscape. The Porter Health Amphitheater hosts events and performances. The Central Park Plaza Market brings fresh-from-the-farm produce, plants, and handicrafts to the area. The Splashing Fountain delights children of all ages.
